OMG no wonder I couldnt' get my head around it and it wouldn't work as it should, I feel a real idiot now I totally, totally did not cotton on to that, so although my flashgun had that facility and it did come up on the screen, it wasn't working?? I know P-TTL is dedicated to Pentax but I thought this was an option, as the flashgun was for Pentax why did it give me those options to use or not? I need to really get my head around this now, my only excuse is I'm female and over 50 !!! Vic Cross, no worries, just realised I have no profile picture, how was a man to know!!! hi and thanks for the comments so far, I am torn between the flash units I described, but also the AF-540FGZ II & the older AF-540FGZ, having read reviews it appears that the former does not have TTL which would be simpler for me, and I do agree McGregNi I do need more knowledge on the subject, thank you for the link, I have downloaded this ready to read and digest. ps, I'm a woman Vic Cross

Hi, I need to purchase a new flashgun, my main priorities are fast battery charge time, TTL, plenty of power and easy to use, I cover weddings, events etc., I don't have huge experience with lighting and do find it a bit difficult to understand, preferring to use my creativity through photoshop and extra processes, so something that just does what it should on auto is what I want, I had a Sigma EF610 DG which I never got on with , the recycle time seemed to take too long, I had trouble with the ttl and I used to press all the wrong buttons when trying to search for a different setting, I just didn't use it creatively enough to remember all of them! Can anyone out there give me some feedback on which we suit me better? or indeed another flash although I have failed to find any others. I have a k5 & kx although the k5 is my main camera. Thanks all
