But then we hit another problem Bricks and Mortar retailers have, I went to pickup a K5 at at their Richmond store, but they only had a display one, which also seemed to have lost its box, and would not negotiate any reduction.
I had my wife with me, who is very fussy that anything we buy must be from an unopened box...
So we all want to go into a shop and try out the Kit, maybe fire a few shots, but which of us really wants to buy an ex display model when for the same price you can buy one boxed and in pristine condition... and how does a shop with limited stock cope with that?

if your shutter did die from too many actuations, would it be covered under the guarantee?
You could always just use the video mode and do the speed up in post production

I was thinking of using the timer functionality on my daughters k5 to sort of shoot a day in a minute, If I want to run at 25fps, thats about 1 shot every 30 seconds.
I then realised that 1 minute at 25fps requires 1500 frames, so I could kill her shutter with just over an hour of stop motion video... hmm..
maybe I'll just condense a day to 15 seconds, be a bit more snappy then

also just wondering, if your shutter did die from too many actuations, would it be covered under the guarantee?

Pentax K-5
and looking at whatever shops I found on the 1st few pages of google.
and then I had a look here, spotted all the good comments on SRS checked the price and for cheaper then any where else I'd looked I also got a free case.
I only spotted the free post after, but as it was only 7 quid I'm not complaining... just wished I'd bought this a month ago when the cashback was still around.

I've just ordered a K-5 from SRS after seeing them on here, but this is the 1st time I came across them despite extensively searching on ebay for somewhere to get the K-5 from.
considering SRS seems to offer the best deal I'm quite surprised their not better represented on google. is it just that they don't want to pay google for the exposure?
anyway

I expect it can be done with a cable release, but not sure how else.
