I use ESET Smart Security. I also use SUPERAntiSpyware.
I wrote to ESET for their advice and they recommended that I also use SUPERAntiSpyware as, apparently, no spyware program can detect every item of spyware. SUPERAtispyware updates automatically when new spyware definitions are needed.

I agree with Matt. I changed to ESET Smart Security a few months ago. It is not resource hungry and doesn't seem to have any affect on the computer's speed.
