I have just checked. If you have the screen facing out but the display either on or off as suggested you can change the ISO by pressing the ISO button and using the wheel next the viewfinder. The ISO value is underlined when the button is pressed so that you know it can be adjusted.

After a long exposure doesn't it do a dark exposure (which effectively shuts the camera down) to deal with noise/dodgy pixels?

Forgot to say that there is included a camouflage waterproof cover in a tree pattern ( that was over £50 ) and has never been used...
