Thanks for the comment! I must admit I was trying a tripod and fannying about with long exposures and then I had that epiphany moment and realised I could hand hold the bugger! Try it... If you get a nice clear shot of the moon and it's bright you can hand hold it! Take a few test shots and adjust your exposure.

Yes... why the flash? You don't need to use a flash and believe it or not you can hand hold the camera shooting the moon! If you have a good clear night and the Moon is well lit you can get some great shots! That is pretty much a mirror image of the one I took of the same aircraft at Waddington last year!

That's to dark to be lightened up in PS... Always remember to over expose when shooting aircraft in the sky. I normally get a reading for exposure from grass or the aircraft on the ground and then take a couple of test shots.
