thanks guys, just as well this was not the real wedding shoot, it was just a few spontaneous moments at my mums house over the weekend..... all the CC's will be used on the day when I'm there ........

Thanks mikew, with regards to focus, i dont think i have coz i used the manual 50mm 1.7, the 3 main stones are not in focus as such. I shot this handheld so...... I have considered the groom for this type of shot but unfortunately he was half asleep last night when we were at my mum's house...... I will tone it down and clone the light spot out most definitely....

thanks tim, the highlight you can see is another diamond ring...... i shall try to tone them down a bit and try clone the small highlight out, and slightly darken the (left) right hand as we see it now.... but thank you again for your words of wisdom

I was at a friends wedding on Saturday with my K10D and 50mm f/1.4.

Without flash you'll find f/1.4 at ISO1600 is probably too slow, I wouldn't consider anything slower.

I found ISO1600 & f1.4 good enough with SR on, or if I was braced up against something.
if you gonna use those then try get yourself a bounce/swivel flash then point it upwards or at an angle and use 2nd curtain sync, this will improve the picture qaulity without having tooo much noise in the end picture.

the ISO recommended for that might be along the lines of 400-800 depends on your camera.

Hope you find this a bit helpful ???
