I too have a Marumi Achromatic and as you say the results are excellent, I keep mine in the camera bag to save having to add a macro lens when on a walk.

Excellent, much better than the usual crop(!) of dandelion head shots. There are other weeds which make similar but different heads, one of my favourite being Salsify or Goat’s Beard, always worth checking them out first before blasting with Roundup!

You can tell lockdown has effectively ended, gone is that too brief interlude where the only sound was birdsong. The b****y Sunday motorcyclists are back roaring through the village oblivious of the speed limit and not giving a toss for anyone else, spreading their row in a mile wide swathe through the countryside. They come in convoy too just to pile pain upon pain.

The video only highlighted the viewfinder and tracking focus, nothing was said about the rear screen tilting or otherwise, nor the sensor, nor other features. It was to whet the appetite but too soon to give out the full spec.

So, three new lenses including the DFA 85 f1.4mm. I guess the new *series DA zoom will be launched with the new camera which now looks like the end of this year. A new 21mm Limited which looks juicy! In talking about the new APS-C body it was as if mirrorless had never happened, concentrating on the improved optical viewfinder; it turns out the sensor below the eyepiece just dims the rear screen when using the viewfinder. Good news about improved tracking focus and a joystick to move the focus point but nothing else given away. It would have been good to hear the justification for staying with the DSLR format as this will be the main criticism from the reviewers.

Well what a disappointment, after receiving an email confirmation from Ffordes for my Pentax 85mm F2.8 SMC FA Soft Focus lens order they have just informed me that they haven't actually had it in stock since last year despite it still being on their website.

My offer to trim Mrs L still stood until she told me what she would do with the scissors!
