Nice and sharp :) Did you have to do any sharpening via Photoshop or similar? I've been thinking about this one for a while for an airshow lens... It didn't need sharpening and it looked odd sharpened in PS. I did run the 800wide pic though Focus Magic which just tweaked it slightly, but for my own use I wouldn't bother sharpening it. Stunning image :) Agree with everything that has been said, the sky in particular adds to the atmosphere.

I agree with the above comments re the scanner, it can come in very useful especially with the Reds as you get advance warnings with changes of formation, smoke on/off, etc. Worth getting one in my opinion! :D

Great shot there :D I prefer taking shots head on like this of jet display teams with the smoke behind them...makes it look more dramatic in my opinion :)

A cracking shot! Just a little brighter and it would be even better! If I'm not mistaken this also appeared on the front cover of Aircraft a couple of months ago.
