Mine is from the days when I used to play online flight Sims in "Warbirds".

My squadron name was "ragged" ... like my flying! I gave it up after too many late nights online nearly got me divorced, and when I wanted have another go a few years later "Ragged" was used so my Online persona has been ragged99 ever since.

Now the thing is....

I have a 15 yo daughter who has good photgraphic eyes and instincts, who has been stealing my K200 for the last few months, and now wants a DSLR of her own.

Given that I'm a typical bloke with " all the gear and no idea" it seems sensible to start her on the one true Pentaxian way, not to mention she'll have access to some cracking lenses.

So given funds wont stretch to a new body for her (my Christmas present is already a SMC A* f4 300mm prime) I have 2 choices a good second hand K200 for her, or an upgrade to a K20/K7 for me and she can have my K200.

Is anybody lusting after a K7/K5 and looking for cash for their old DSlr body?

Many Thanks

Adrian

And sold to me , My wife and I have a K100D super and a K200D, and were currently sharing a whole pile of glass. She chose the K100 as a good starter SLR for herself and then it seemed sensible for me to buy into the same system to share the lenses and the K200 seemed a lot of camera for the money. If I'm honest she saved me from spending money a nikon, but its was a great decision as I've just discovered the joys of old Pentax glass, and fancied having a go at Macro work.

Any tips on using this lens.... extension tubes, using flash etc.

I have established that My K200 won't TTL meter with my 540FGZ gun in the M camera mode tht I need to use with this lens as it doesn't have an A setting on the ring. But I assume I just fire the flash in its manual mode, and adjust exposure accordingly using a few test shots and watching the histograms.

I've gleaned that shutter speed is much less important in macro work, and that actually I'll probably be moving the ISO and Aperture around more to control depth of field.
