QuestionableCarrot
Hi Guys

I thought I would just put a feeler out there for my trusty and sharp 150 500 that has served me very well for three years. I need the cash for upgrading some of my gear and think the long lens might just be the lens to fund it. Ive been in two minds for so long about selling it so I thought I'd come on here and see if anyone is interested.

Ive made money from this lens shooting motorsport and have shot all my wildlife on it as well - images which have made it into magazines and pamphlets for animal charities.

Its in fair condition but VERY sharp - bought in SRS three years ago with receipt and invoice to prove so.

If anyone wants to learn more about the lens and see photos I will do so when I have moved house - I will pick up my messages when I can during the week.

In the meantime I have left some photos that I have made with this great lens

Cheers

QC

I wholeheartedly agree Ken.

If I could go back in time I would have spent the money on glass. I cant see me upgrading from my K-5 for a while

Very interesting. Street photography looks so easy. All you do is go to town with your camera and take pictures of people in the street (as furtively as possible.)

I did that this morning. trouble is, the shots are all terrible. they're just pictures of people in the street. Vivian Maier would be ashamed to turn out such dross.

Oh, and I've just discovered a branch of photography at which the MX-1 does not excel. The shutter lag, which in landscape photography is barely noticeable, renders the camera useless for this sort of "decisive moment" stuff.
Keep trying Andrew

A big thanks to all the people here that took the time out to comment. I am very pleased with the fifth photo

Thanks guys.

To answer some of your questions.

Yes it's generally in the same area - in this case Belfast
I try and walk about 10miles over the city and seldom meet the same people. The girl with the hat on this post was uploaded in an earlier thread but with different processing treatment.

Thanks for the kind words

A lovely set full of life an colour. As David says, a wonderful lens.
We don't have women like this round here. They mostly weight twenty stones and will nick yer bike if provoked by a camera.
it's not that hard Andrew

Got these street performers in Belfast. The guy with the Batman costume paid big money from the US for this costume
