Unfortunately I've had to sell a lot of my gear ---- long story.....

But I have managed to hang on to my Q and all my film gear.

I've got three rolls of film still to be developed with loads of street strangers over the past few weeks but in between I have been shooting the Q for some candids

All with the 01 lens

All thoughts welcome!

I rather like the look. Sometimes smiles make the image seem not natural.

Couldnt agree more. I always ask for no smile to begin and usually end that way

Unfortunately due to circumstances beyond my control I may have to sell some of my gear but before I go and do the unforgivable I need to know if there is anyone out there that would be willing to help me out with a DSLR for a VERY reasonable price?

I have only a few quid to spare but am open to any offers.

PLease PM if you think you might have something...

Cheers

I am using the bold monochrome setting most often with auto iso around the 800 mark.

Face Detect is ok for some scenarios but in the main I am shooting in P mode with central focusing. Given the darkness of the monochrome setting too fast a shutter speed makes the image too black with no chance of recovery

Discovering that the Pentax Q and 01 lens are great for grab shots.

Its labelled as slow and useless for street by some but for me its great (provided its always switched on because it takes an age to power up)
