Cool, in a sense that the temperature is around 55 degrees Fahrenheit or 13 degrees Celsius. Constant, in a sense that you don't want these numbers to fluctuate, because if they do, your wine can be at risk of damaging your wine. Warmer temperature, in particular, can accelerate the aging process of wine, which is something you don't want to happen if you have a really huge collection of wines you don't want to consume any time soon. For this reason, always store your wine in a cool, dry place and away from a fireplace or a radiator.
You can also buy a rack which has been made specially for commercial use. In other words, there are manufacturers that sell a number of sizes of wooden wine racks, but you might prefer to design your own. By designing your own rack you have the option of choosing the wood, size, if it can be stackable, and the number of bottles you wish to store. Wine collectors tend to pick up new bottles often. This means you might want your wood racks to be expandable.
