Thanks Peter KR and Geordie 01 for the advice.
Do you think the K50 will be sturdy enough to get knocked around?
Also will the photos be considered large enough for stock photos?
Any advice for lenses? seen a whole lot...

many thanks again!

Hello All,
I grew up with my father's pentax Kx. I eventually got an Olympus OM1, and was lucky enough to sell some of my photos.
I I've missed most of the digital age (too fast). But would like to get back into photography (mainly for pleasure and if possible a side income). I've very little technical knowledge.
I need your advice for a camera and lens please.
My perfect camera would be able to handle hard knocks, very long battery life (some place I go electricity is not guaranteed). I'm not interested in video or wifi, GPS etc. I need good quality photos (size) that stock agencies would accept.
photos I take are usually macro, landscape, street scenes. No portraits, indoors or photoshop work.
I've read reviews on the KS2, K5ll and K3 and still confused. The camera I get will be for the long term as I would rather invest in good quality lenses.
Many thanks
