I have the SMC-A 70-210mm f/4... it's a really solid piece of equipment that gives really nice results (IMO, at least!)

Here's one shot I'm fond of:

Most of the others that lack a focal length in the EXIF are with this lens:

Please note that I'm still learning the ins and outs of color management!

It is a little heavy for my tastes... but if the choice is between this and the seemingly cheap plastic being offered now, I'll stick with all metal!

Aloha!

Perhaps I'm missing something (not inconceivable!)...

I'm starting to play around with HDR (in PS CS2 and HDRShop) and decided to test out the DS's autobracketing. I like the way I can set it to different exposure brackets (+/- 2 works for me). However, I am at a loss as to how to get it off of shutter priority... with landscapes, I would very much prefer to see the shutter adjust itself to achieve +/- 2 EV rather than seeing the aperture shift!!!

As it is now, if I meter for 1/640 @ F11, it autobrackets to F9 and F13... but I wanted F11 for each exposure... I planned everything with a specific DOF!

Any ideas? Thanks!

New here but just wanted to mention, in addition to the other RAW converters, there's "RawShooter essentials"... they are working on developing a paid "premium" version but the "essential" version is free. I've used it exclusively for the past few months with good results. Only works under Windows, I believe.
