So I have been craving extra reach lately, and have settled on this lens. I have an opportunity to get one now and was wondering if there is a massive difference in IQ between the non IS and IS version, basically can I save a few pennies getting the non IS and using the in body SR of my K5ii?

My 70-300 sigma just died on me, keeps giving f-- even after a good clean of the contacts, the aperture ring seems lose, anyways, Just wondering what you guys have for sale in the region of telezooms. I wont be after another sigma 70-300 as it was too soft @300. What you guys got then?

Recently I have noticed that sometimes my sigma 70-300 fails to autofocus on my k-5ii (displaying f-). It generally doesn't want to do it, then, when it does work, it will work for a short period of time then it will make a horrible grinding noise. I'm scared it will knacker my body. Is there anything I can do to fix this for free? I'm saving for a better tele lens but this is all I have, that will autofocus, till I can afford a new lens. Or, should I just get it off the body and keep it off incase it affects the bodies autofocus..... Any ideas guys?

I found time to head down to the see the BTCC at the weekend. It was the first time I ever pointed my camera at a car so would love some feedback. Hope you like!
