Whew! What a intense debate!
Ok well the square APS-C format being touted here is not impossible by any means. Assuming that the horizontal width OF 23.6 stays the same, the vertical APS-C dimension of 15.6 can be comfortably increased to match the width. The image circle is optimized for the largest size of the sensor so a square APS-C sensor would be entirely feasible and would make cropped images easier to create. So there you have it no need to buy new lenses to take advantage of the new square sensor!

Well guys, it appears that a once renowned business has ditched its business model and imposed changes which have been disastrous to the viability to the company.
At one time the secondhand stock was so bad that I was receiving equipment that should never have been taken in on a part exchange basis. Finally jesssops realized that it was not going to make a profit from this side of the business when it could not find staff to check out the items bought in on part excahnge. Remember the famous EEEE on the T90? I can imagine all sorts of ecuses as to why it came up. Enough said, I received a Tamron 70_300 for the same price as a Pentax 50-200 which was discontinued and had been ordered online in December! Made a loss for that lens and their business when Pentax decided not to stock Jessops for snubbing them earlier!!
Duh!

If the owner of the Pentax K2DMD is reading this... Great!
I have come across this and the way to change the setting is done by gently pressing the black stub intowards the camera and using one of your fingernails to change the ASA setting to a different one. Thats what the serrations are for!. Make sure you have selected nil exposure factor ie X1.
A close glance at the X1 setting reveals a small red dot. Not the lens alignment dot mind you. this is to check to make sure.
Try it and see.

Well, apparently if anyone remembers Ken Russell, director of 'The Boy Friend' and most notably, 'Women in Love' you can be pretty certain the he checked out Nikon and others before deciding on Pentax. His Pentax ES is what he choose.
Now let me put your minds at rest... Pentax is not going to disappear!!
If people like Ken Russell and the late Terance Donovan were really not at all bothered about their choice of photograpic equipment then it wouldn't really matter what they used.
I once had a look at Amateur Photographer way back into the 70's and 80's. It featured some ads from Pentax and the people who use cameras from that company.
This is an unsubstantd quote from someone who asked Ken Russell why he used Pentax
Anonymous, "Why do you use Pentax?"
KR, "Why not!"
That is good enough for me folks!!
Long live Pentax!!
