I think this shot could use some work on it to turn it into an excellent shot; extreme contrast or sepia come to mind. A little cropping too I feel.

Ieper (Ypres) itself is quite a wonder as it is only in recent years that the city's rebuild, following its WW1 destruction, was completed. On the day I visited, some years ago, the sun was shining, which helped in some small way to combat the sadness felt when visiting the battlegrounds. It must be very depressing on a grey day.
