Regards, Ian. IMHO I think it is, not because of the shadowy areas, but bec. of the back of the bench which is brighter than needed. May be you had to do it to lighten up the butts. It's a very beautiful and high quality B&W photograph!

I like the light, colours and textures here too. And the framing. Would you think that jut a little sharpening will enhance the effect of the image?

I wonder how many more years that ring will take to break into pieces! I like to see the layering of the rust on the ring, the colour and texture!
