Thanks Horst - would live to see some of your photos if you get time!

I do have the 77 f1.8 and the 31 f1.8.

I personally prefer the 77 for portrait and landscape shots. I am not to keen on landscapes with wide angles.

I think the 77 is so fantastic. It is really wasted on an APS-C sensor.

I haven't been on this forum for a while and it seems there is no possibility anymore to add pictures.

Else I would have attached a couple taken with the 77.

By the way they are not that expensive here in Australia. I bought the 77 for $AU 799.- Approx 300 GBP new and the 31 f1.8 for $AU 1099. Approx 400 GBP , also new.

I anyone can enlighten me , how to attach pictures to the posts, it would be appreciated.

Regards, Horst

Thank you both - is the 43 limited lens better for what i want the lens for or can either of you suggest anything else? - i do love the look of the images produced by the 77 limited lens and would like to achieve something similar with a more suitable focal length? Many thanks.

Have any K5II any experience of using this lens please? Does it have autofocus and manual focus capability? - any comments re focussing speed please? I'm particularly interested in this lens for documenting daily life of kids indoors and would welcome any user comments please!

I am about to buy my first lens (other than the 18-135 WR lens I bought along with my K5II). I want a lens which will allow me to take photos of young kids indoors without having to use flash and also of my 5 year old niece's ballet shows. I was waiting for the Sigma 18-35 f1.8 to be reviewed with the hope that it would meet my needs and I would buy one, however I am concerned about the reports of problems with focusing. I then thought that I had made a decision with the Pentax 35mm f2.8 Macro DA Ltd Lens, however I have since learnt that focus will be slower due to it's macro nature. So now I am confused as to what I should buy. Any suggestions would be most appreciated - my budget is approx £500 but I would go to £600 for the right lens.

Many thanks
