and are very pleased with !!!
color is fined , detail is fair, with the right settings does not need any postprocessing exept compression. nice one , highly recomend it for a digital compact.

Hello
I am the proud owner of a pentax k2 with a series of lensens but the digital craze made me buy an ultra compact S6 which i am waiting to be delivered in the folowing days.
I have a few questions for this camere
1.Is the auto mode so bad ? I understand that it will jump easily to higher iso with poor results
2. Will i be able to produce sharp images with custom settings or are the images of this camera doomed to be soft even in iso 64 ?
Best Regards
Nikolaos

my optio was a bday pressie 1 yr and 1 month ago - so out of warentee by 1 month...
On switchon was a buzz, the lens opened and closed again makin an unhappy buzz... assume lens motor, now opens and buzes and doesnt focus at all... but have no idea wat i can do...
anyone had this prob?? Any ideas on how to fix it?
Here is whats wrong with it:
If you diassembly the camera on the bottom right (as you look at the camera from the screen side towards you in upright position)
there is a small motor that touches the lens gear and moves in.
This motor is not attached to the lens, in that way making in skip the gear and make the sound.
If you open it be careful with the screen, I totaly damaged the screen in my attempt to fix it but unfortunately I also discovered what the last service did to fix it which was to stick! an cable stick tape piece! to the motor and push! it towards the gear.
Ofcourse it broke down after a few days like it did the last time but you can possibly try to fix it on your own, just be aware of the screen, I dont think that you need to dismantle the screen to reach the motor but the circuits proved to be rather sensitive in my situation.
I regret losing that camera (which was my only digital camera as well) and now by damaging the screen due to a clumpsy operation.
