Hope you had a wonderful day with many more to come!

Cheers
Thanks - it's felt like my birthday today with a total of 4 lenses and a camera body arriving!

My Sigma 10-20 just arrived and initial impressions are pretty good. It seems solidly built although it's reasonably light and compact. I'm looking forward to getting some shots with it as it'll be very nice having an ultra-wide capability again.

Still haven't quite decided what to partner it with. I've got funds for the 16-45 Pentax (it was my birthday yesterday!) but I'm tempted to go for something like the 24-135 F2.8-4.5 Sigma as I can get one for about £100 from the US.

Just phoned Bristol Cameras and they don't have it in stock either and would have to get it from Sigma same as the others. I've still got my order in with Warehouse express but it's not clear how long it'll take to actually get one of these lenses!

It's at times like this (and this is by no means the first time!) that I do wonder about changing to Canon or Nikon...

Well the lens might be listed on both the cameraworld and warehouse express websites but that doesn't necessarily mean that you can actually get one. I got an email back from warehouse express saying that the lens is on backorder (with no indication of delivery date) and when I phoned cameraworld they chap didn't think the lens had been released yet - despite it being listed as available for purchase on their website!

The Sigma was about £330 and it's listed on both the Cameraworld and Warehouse Express websites (I went with the latter).

I've finally made up my mind on this and sold my Tokina ATX-Pro 20-35mm F2.8 and ordered one of the Sigma 10-20mm lenses to replace it.

I've been trying to decide whether to get that or the 16-45mm Pentax lens first, but I decided that I was missing the ultra-wide angles more so the Pentax will be my next purchase.

The Pentax 12-24 does sound nice but if the Sigma lives up to the reviews its been getting then it'll be good enough for me.

I've seen a review of the Sigma lens where it seemed to compare favourably to a considerably more expensive Canon wide angle zoom.

10-20(ish) sounds ideal.

What are folks doing for wide angle with digital SLR's? With my film cameras I had a couple of options - either a 24mm FA* or a cheap 18-35mm AF zoom. My DS came with the 18-55mm kit lens, so I'm well covered from 28mm up, but I still need something wider as I found I used the wide end of my 18-35 zoom quite a lot when shooting film.

There can be a problem as mentioned with older guns and some SLR cameras due to high trigger voltages however the reports I've seen say that the Pentax cameras are more tolerant than most.
