I thank everyone who has responded with their encouraging comments so promptly, helpfully and constructively. Overall, I've not changed my mind to sell but takuman's mention of the GR - which I'd never heard of - prompted me do do some research in that direction. I'm really quite impressed with the quality of some of the sample images I've seen and I'm now thinking in that direction rather than the Panasonic family (fz1000/fz2500). The Panasonics major on video performance which I do very very rarely. The only downside I've read about re the GR is internal dust gathering - but I guess that few cameras are free from that in the long run. I also believe that there's a Google thread that shows how to disassemble, clean and reassemble the camera. Perhaps I need to hold on to my gel stick cleaner!
The GR also seems to get better reviews than the GRii - but there was some mention of a possible GRiii coming.

Thanks, davidwozhere. By composing shots I meant that I don't seem to have a great eye either for seeing where to take the best shot from or for for seeing how best to frame the shot. The first thing I often have to do in LR is to crop and /or re-align. I also find that neither using exposure bracketing nor LR's graduated filter PP cheat produce brilliant results but I don't want to throw good money after bad on expensive filter sets. A big part of my problem is also that most of the time I'm out, I'm with family or with a walking group. It often is unrealistic to expect them to hang about while I set up my tripod and test and retest settings until I'm satisfied. I can't expect them to set out before dawn or return after sunset to get the best light and, as a married man, it seems selfish to keep having to leave my wife alone. That's what dedicated photographers seem to have to do. So, in selling this top grade kit, I am recognising my limitations - not those of the equipment. I look at some of the stuff in the Forum galleries and competitions and know that I haven't got the eye nor the dedication needed.

To be fair, I used Lightroom on all the Flickr stuff to get them even to that stage. I don't want to overdo the PP. I'd like to be able to capture the shot better in the first place so it doesn't need as much PP. But thanks anyway for your positive comment.

AndrewH seems to have a Flickr link. I've uploaded tons of my stuff to Flickr as gerald murphy (geraldmurphyx) if that helps.

I've got 42 images in all that I uploaded to eBay but given my difficulty so far tonight in trying to upload just 2 shots I can't see myself being able to advertise my 5 Pentax items on the Classified Forum.

I have tried this in LIghtroom but never as successfully as you HarisF1. I' tried to upload before and after images to illustrate this but when I click on image and select either .dng 0r jpeg images of before and after I get a message that the image type is wrong! Story of my life.

Thanks Welsh Wizard. You're quite correct - it was Cambrian Photography in Colwyn Bay.
I'm not enjoying the benefits of the kit because I don't seem to see the angles that produce the great shots I see online; because however careful I try to be with my settings I never seem to get the image quality that friends seem to get with their Panasonic FZ1000s or even smartphones; I don't see the photo opportunities that others seem to; and I forget the simplest things. Even photographing my items for sale today I forgot to dust the stuff first. I find it difficult even to follow the manual. For example there is a great thread about using the K3ii's multiple exposure facilities to avoid the need for ND grad filters but when I tried to follow the instructions and the specific settings my camera only fired once rather than the number of times I'd requested. I'd tried the Forum settings in burst mode, single shot mode, with and without self timer. Same result. Maybe I'm just too thick as well as lacking creativity..

Is there a fee for advertising on the Forum?

If anyone is interested I've scheduled an eBay listing for 30/7/2017 for my K3ii , some lenses (16-85 mm, 50-135 mm and 200 mm) plus a grip and a flash unit.
The camera was bought on 23 January this year, the rest on 1 February - all from the Pentax dealer in Conway, North Wales (receipts available).
I am selling the camera etc because I realise now that I’ll never be the photographer I'd hoped to be earlier this year. This kit deserves to belong to someone with the eyes to exploit its real potential.
It's been an expensive mistake but I feel that it would be a mistake also to hang on to expensive stuff I'll never be able to use properly. At least this way I'll recoup some of my "investment".
I'll either buy a bridge/compact camera more suited to my skill level or stick with my K50 and kit lenses.
