Very helpful thank you

Righty ho then Nero, price accepted @ £550.00 inclusive of delivery. My research shows either AAs or 1x D-Li90 Li-Ion can be used in the grip. I assume the 2nd battery stays in the body. Anyway, I'm sure I can find out in the main forum. I'll sign-off and send you an email.

Kirk Out!

1. Price wise £550.00
2. Don't think you can use generic batteries for pentax k-5 itself but the Pentax K-5 grip comes with a tray for 6 AA'

Hope it was helpful

Hi again Nerjus

Right then. Thanks very much for the info thus far. To continue:

1. What price are we agreeing on :
2. Can you advise if the K-5 takes a generic battery, and if so, what would be the best bang for buck buy as I'll be looking to get a generic VG at some stage and it appears that unlike standard grips, this battery arrangement is one in the grip and one in the body. Is this correct :

Sorry about the dumb questions, but you're being a big help to a brand newbie

Once again, over to you.

Hi, back again,

OK, I'm after the K-5 + 18-55 package. If we can deal at £550.00 delivered, that would be great.

I'll just ask dumb elementary questions:

1. Are there any accessories such as memory card(s), remote shutter release or other non standard item(s) included?

I can include 4GB sd card other then that it's only what comes in a box when you buy new one

2. How do you rate the K-5? My research suggests it's an excellent APS-C body that delivers top-notch results with good glass. Would you concur and what adjustments will get the best from it such as JPEG and other menu settings?

As far as I'm aware it's best APS-C camera you can buy on a market to date. Great hight ISO performance, had no problem with noise using it at ISO 1600, haven't tried higher but only heard good things. Would advice shooting RAW just so you have more freedom with post processing, or RAW+JPeg

3. What advice, general information or other setup tips can you offer? (I have to assume you're familiar with the brand and the product).

Here's a link to great article about settings and getting started with it:
http://www.pentaxforums.com/reviews/pentax-k5/walkthrough.html#recommended

4. Regarding exchanging personal data and/or answers to the above, please contact me by email at: pirate77 [at] virginmedia [dot] com
my email is nerijus (dot) social (at) gmail (dot) com

5. The 18-55 lens appears to be an above average kit lens. What is your opinion of it?

it appears to be better then canon or nikon kits from what I heard. Only had chance to use nikon kit set up and must say pentax is better
