Sorry folks, my father has just been taken ill and i'm staying the other side of london for a while and don't have my kit with me to post photos, or much time to respond to PMs, but I am serious about selling it all so please be patient.

I'm starting to get some emails enquiring about the kit i've posted for sale, as well as questions like what's the photo count on the K10D and how about posting some photos on here. I'll deal with all your responses as soon as I can over the next few days. Thanks all for the interest so far.

After having my LX stolen in Barcelona I invested heavily in Pentax SLR digital kit but after having purchased a Leica D-Lux 2 and about to purchase a Leica X1 I now never use the Pentax kit having had enough of lugging all the lenses around, so it all has to go. As someone who is obsessed about looking after their belongings this is all in first class condition, all then lenses have had filters fitted from day 1, etc. I'm keen not to sell any of this piecemeal, at least not the K10D and Limited Edition lenses, all of which are still available new and are expensive!!, so I'm open to SERIOUS offers.

I'm a beginner to flash photography and am confused by the 540 operating manual. It seems to suggest that for general use P-TTL with leading curtain sync is the preferred mode, but it also says the latter can only be used with X-sync or slower on the camera. So that makes me think I should go for High Speed sync, but that can't be used it seems with P-TTL or P-AE mode on the camera. So for GENERAL USE, what is the best combination between the various settings you have to make on the flash and the camera, i.e. (i) P-TTL, TTL Auto, Auto, Manual; (ii) leading, trailing, high speed sync; (iii) P-AE, Sv, Av, X-sync etc. :

Just joined. I've always had Pentx cameras from the time I first owned an SLR. Started out with ME Super and K1000.

Migrated onto an LX, which I had for 20 years until it was stolen in Barcelona - loved that camera, so simply to use, was absolutely gutted when it went.

Forced by insurers to take an MZS as replacement, which I hated - too complicated having missed a few bodies over the 20 years I had the LX.

Started to think of giving up SLR cameras and bought a Leica D-Lux2. Pretty fantstic camera actually.

But that started to get me hooked on digital and final took the plunge 4 months ago and bought the K10D. Still working out how to use all the features though, and get basic understanding of how digital works.

Have bought and sold lots of lenses over the years, but have finally ended up with the following in my bag all the time - four Limited Edition lenses (21, 31, 43 & 77) plus the last 150 model made.

Have boxed away the standard 18-55 and 24-90 that came with the K10D and MZS but have never really felt comfortable with zooms, tended to always use either the widest or narrowest settings. Also have a Pentax 24mm M, Pentax 135mm M and Tamron 135mm - all from the LX days.
