I read something about alkalines not being recommended but the camera menu does allow you to switch the battery type to alkalines. i give it a go with some NhMi or Energizers. Also just installed the latest firmware. fingers crossed.

I also have problems with battery life on my Kr. 300 photos and had to charge the battery 3 times. I recently tried using AAs which to be frank was a bit of a joke. Lasted about 10 seconds of video. They were alkalines mind you. Love the Kr but the poor battery performance has put a bit of a dampner on it for me. Is it possibly a faulty camera issue?

I purchased a Kr back in December as the £70 cash back deal made it a really good buy. I love the camera but I'm still waiting on my cash back. I sent the form to Pentax in December. Does anyone have any details of who I should contact?
