Shot the Hollyoaks charity football match yesterday with the K-7 and DA* 60-250 and wish I hadn't. In comparison to the K20 / Sigma combo it was crap, took way longer to focus and got nowhere near the results I was expecting and had got used to.
Tomorrow I will be calling Chris at SRS to take my Sigma off the shelf because I want it back. I want to enjoy myself the next time I get a chance to shoot a football match.
Very interesting. On same lensa we have a wide range of feedback. I Think the 60-250 is a good but tricky lens and there are on the market other choice.Shot a football match a few weeks ago with the K20 and Sigma 100-300 F4, focussing was fast and accurate.

Dear Lemmy and Anvh thanks for the quick reply. I will give another chance to the 60-250 and I hope to lend for a while the 70-200 2.8 from SIGMA, for some test and then I will decide how spend my money.
Thanks again.
Thanks again.

Dear Pentax User. I am new on that forum and I post my 1st question after long discussione on DA* 60-250 with my Pentax friend in Italy.
I'm caming back from the World Championship of Swimming here in Rome, and I shot several picture with my K20D and the DA* 60-250 lent to me.
I find very hard to shoot good picture with that lens because to obtain the right shooting speed (lower then 1/1000) being the lens an f/4 I had to increase the ISO reaching often 800 ISO . What I obtain is picture with high noise.
Now I suppose is my fault and that lens is great for other purpose but not for sports.
I desire this lens and I would like to know if any of you is using it for shooting sports activities and it is satisfied.
Thanks.
