Thanks for your feedback, very helpful.

1-If I am on the field,so I need the 55-300 ready to use, can I insert lens plus hood and leave the case open?

2-Obviusly the lowepro belt is much better, but is that better enough that it is worht buying?

Thank you George, but I cannot see any belt attachment. Am I wrong?

Hi All.
I need a lens case with attachment to the belt.
I need it to have the lens ready to use, instead of taking it from the backpack, but I wouldn t like a too bulky case.
The protection is not an important factor as I carry the lens in a dedicated backpack when not in use.

The longest lens I own is the 55-300, that is 112x71mm and becomes 180x80 with the hood.

The only one I could find is the http://www.amazon.co.uk/Lowepro-Lens-Case-2/dp/B00009R89E/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1254666704&sr=8-1
but looks too long and seems bulky according to the second review.

Any other model suggested?
Thank you

Hi All.

I have got a Lee holder system plus grad ND and now I would like to buy some standard NDs.

The difference in price between them is not a lot: a Proglass is £84 while resin NDs are £64 each.

Any experience reagding them? I could not find any comparison

Thank you

As far I have seen probably the choice is between a better bokeh (50mm) and a sharper photo (70mm).
Do not know how they compare regarding quickness.

What is better in a portrait? Bokeh or sharpness?(I know it is individual!)

Ideally I would prefer the distance given by the 70mm but I do like the bokeh

So I should consider the 50mm f1,4

From Amazon:
"A lot of people have a tough time choosing between DA 70mm Limited and the FA 77mm Limited. Both lenses have their merits, but I ended up going with the DA 70mm for a few reasons...

DA 70mm pros:
- Much faster autofocus.
- Much less CA (chromatic aberrations) and purple fringing.
- Much cheaper.
- Still works on film bodies, but you need a body that supports aperture controls.

FA 77mm pros:
- About 1 stop faster (f/1.8 vs f/2.4).
- Has an aperture ring so it works on all Pentax 35mm film bodies as well as digital.
- General consensus that the bokeh is better.
- Slightly longer reach.

Both lenses are sharp and render images beautifully, so as you can see, it really depends on what you want from the lens.

Since I wanted this lens for candid portraits, I needed the much faster autofocus capabilities. I also figured that I wouldn't shoot at f/1.8 much anyways since I find it difficult to work with such a small depth of field when shooting portraits. While most people find the FA 77mm's bokeh to be better, the 70mm still produces very pleasing bokeh. It's just different.

All in all, the DA 70mm seemed like a much better deal to me and I don't regret buying it over the FA 77mm at all. "
The "pros" for the 70mm seem rather silly to me.

1 The difference in AF speed, if any, is totally immaterial.
2 The "much less" CA and PF is also immaterial. In several years use I have only once noticed any CA/PF with the 77mm, and it's easily fixed.
3 Cheaper, I grant.
4 "Still works on film bodies" means "doesn't work on many film bodies".

The 77mm is certainly more expensive, but then it's a considerably better lens. Indeed, it's a superlative lens, and that extra stop is super for portraits. In my view, 1:2.8 just isn't acceptable for a portrait lens.

Actually it is 1:2.4. what about that? it is just one stop difference.

Thanks Mike, wait with impatience for the portrait.

Good. Do you want I send you a photo of the lower compartment or what you can see is fine?

which lenses have you got? you can fit a 55-300 comfortably, a little tighty if it is mounted on, but I leave it.
I would say up to five lenses.I put all my gear and there is still room for accessories.

Yes the 467 is a little more cumbersome if you do not need all that room, but same good quality as well.
