This has more than likely been asked before, but, whats the best method of cleaning the CCD in the IST DL.

Thanks for your help

The thing i found amazing was even though the lens has long (ish) focal length, i can still hand hold it when taking pics because of it's small size, although the focusing is quite tricky i found, it's a very fine line between in and out of focus.

It is a heavy lens, but perfectly usable, i took some pictures out in the garden this afternoon, mainly of Sparrows, the images are fairly sharp

This is not one of the better ones tbh, i have taken about 200 photo's through the lens today and am pleased at the results, i would recommend getting a mirror lens, especially if you are into wildlife & wilderness photography like myself, even though i have the mirror now i still think my 100-300mm will get the majority of the use until summer arrives, then my macro lens will get a right hammering.

Well it's all here, got the lens, had to buy an Adaptall 2 mount rather than the T2 mount for the lens, bought a T2 anyway as i can now use some of my older M42 screw on lenses with the IST, going out for a couple of hours now to have a play, got a bit of a bargain on the adaptall 2 mount, one of my suppliers quoted me about £40.00 for the mount, then i found one on evilbay with a tamron 70-210 lens for £20.00, didn't need the lens tbh, but figured for £20.00 i couldn't go wrong,

Right, time to get the tripod out mount it all up and go play.

Thanks foir the advice guys, it really is appreciated, have located a couple of Tamron#s on Evilbay, these being

(1)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamron-Adaptall-2-500mm-f-8-Reflex-Mirror-Lens-863_W0QQite...

and (2)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamron-500mm-f8-SP-Mirror-Lens-Adaptall-2_W0QQitemZ7595233...

and (3)

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Tamron-SP-500MM-F8-Mirror-Lens_W0QQitemZ7594506978QQcatego...

Im a bit wary of this one, no case, filters etc, plus a very low feedback rating (im always wary of low feedback, even though mine only stands at about 45 )

Which one in your honest opinion would you go for.

Thanks once again for your help and advice

Mark
