Thanks for the welcome, chaps. I'm off to South Africa next week for a month's break, hopefully will have some decent shots to show on my return! |

I've been retired a couple of years now, and have always been interested in photography. I now have the time and inclination to take the hobby more seriously. After extensive research I purchased a new K5, and several lenses (Pentax DA35mm f2.8 macro limited, Sigma 10-20mm f4-5.6 EX DC, Tamron SP AF 17-50mm f/2.8 XR Di, Pentax DA 55-300mm F/4-5.8 ED). So I'm all geared up and ready to go! PP interests me greatly - I primarily use an iMac, so will be mainly using Aperture, quite a step up from using Picasa in the past. I hope to pick up tips from the various forum topics. I am in awe of quite a lot of the photographs published on the website, and hope to improve my output accordingly. Are there any guidelines laid down for use of the forum? Apparently as a newcomer there are various limitations on my use, but for how long ? etc. etc.. I look forward to the benefits of being a member, and hopefully also making useful contributions in due course. |
