I have to say I prefer cities by night in mono. The amount of different kind of lights all over nowadays, makes it very difficult to balance the colors; there is always a few that are massively distracting; at least to me. So I love that version of your take on the New Year's Eve night :)

Beautiful shot either way Donna :) I sometimes wonder, how is it possible, to get such gorgeous sky colors for such a brief period of time, when the rest of the day/night is outright miserable haha. Most people sleep through the explosion of colors anyhow :)

Oh that is lovely; almost surreal 😁

'At infinity' works as well, given you bothered finding out and marking where that is on the lens. With the 55-300 auto focus on the moon works nearly every time and saves you the trouble. I had two copies of that lens and infinity was not on the mark on either, hence the comment :p Never owned anything fancier at 300mm+ focal length. None of my lenses focus accurately on the mark in fact :?
