I've been trying to take photographs in the evening at home with the lights on, but the background, or anything that's meant to be white turns out yellowy. Is there anything i can do to fix this?

Haven't had my camera for long and the manual isn't very helpful, so does anyone know what adjustments i should make to the settings etc.?
