Hi Katrin, have you set the autosave settings in the 'Options' file menu?
I have accepted the default settings , which save as c:users....documentspentax
I have also accepted the base file name and selected the 'sub folder(s)' option.

The quirks regarding greyed out sub menu were I believe reported previously, but I have not personally experienced it with the PRA 3.51.

Do you have have the option to try PRA on another computer? Not all motherboards implement USB properly. I installed separate USB cards in all of our families computers to get round issues with removable devices, though I accept that may not be an option with a laptop.

Steve
I have set the auto settings, and my only computer that I can use is a 17" Intel Macbook Pro, which is what I have been testing on. It sounds like it just isn't going to work exactly like I want it too. It does work, there is just that extra step. Well, if anybody does know the fix for Mac, let me know

Hi Katrin Sorry I cannot help you with this. I am no Mac or Aperture expert and was referring to an earlier post made by Don. It might be worth sending him a PM

What I can tell you is that the latest versions of PRA and Lightroom now seem to work quite nicely with each other on my Vista based system.

Steve
Fair enough. I actually downloaded Lightroom to test it, and it is working. I am having an issue with PRA though. It keeps making me accept each shot in order to save. I tried to switch it to Auto save mode in the file menu, but that whole menu is grayed out. I got it to switch once, but that was when I monkeyed with the interval timer, it switched over to auto, but then right back. Is there some setting or something I am missing?
Thanks for the help.
Katrin

If you have a MAC then it can be done with
Pentax Remote Assistant
Aperture + plugin

Steve
Hi, I am new to this forum, and to using camera's tethered. I have a K10d, Aperture and Pentax Remote Assistant, but I can't get them all to play nice together--mainly Aperture. You mention a plug-in, can you give me a link or tell me a name? I have been searching for a while online trying to find something that matched that description. I just want to be able to see the images that I am getting from the camera on the screen so I can make sure they are what I need. Thanks for your help.
