Did you set the leaves up? Either way, it's a balanced image with the leaves adding a contrast in colour. Only slight niggle is the blown out left side of the crown.
The image still draws attention, which is a good thing.

It's the ubiquitous Whitby shot.
...and it works.
It leads in and up. Speaking from past experience, it's better with clouds which is why this shot explains why you waited for the abbey shot!
