Hello and welcome.

I would suggest both the lens in the bundle. As time goes by, you may have the urge to buy one or two more. Everyone is friendly and helpful around here, so there are people that are more than happy to help you out with ideas and information if you require it.

My foolish moment is driving for two hours, taking six pictures, and then having the battery run out.

Hi everyone,

I have been looking at this site for a while now, so I thouhgt it would be an idea to introduce myself. I started out with a ME Super a while ago now, and am using a K10 at the moment. I am based in Hampshire, and back onto the New Forest, but I am orginally from NZ. This years plans are to sharpen, (no pun intended) up my long lens techique. And learn the art of macro photography.

I finding making time to take photos hard, but I tend to get lost in my own chilled out world, where time flies by once I get underway.

I am in denial about my LBA, I don't need to take my shoes and socks of yet to add them up, but I am getting close. I think there is always room in my bag of just one more lens.

So expect one or two silly questions in the future from myself.

Cheers

G

I know it is not on your short list, but I have the Tamron 70-200mm f2.8 Di (IF). I would recommend it if you're looking for a fast sharp zoom. It is not small, or light. The only downside is that mine has a screw that works loose, and it needs to be gently tightened from time to time. The lens that is, not me, even though the other half might argue that point.

Hi,

Has anyone had first hand experiance with tripods at airshows, or are they just too bulky and slow? Are monopods the way to go? I find on a bright day, even hand holding can result in some blured results.

Thanks
