I'm getting my brain around the win11 changes, some of which seem to have been done just to confuse people, and am typing this on said system....
Agreed - probably because some young(ish!) marketing person thought those changes looked good and added to the "appeal" of WIN 11 - but without considering what longtime Windows users would think and would need to "retrain" their brains for !

Can't argue with that price.

I'll certainly check them out.
Lizosoft is here https://lizosoft.co.uk/

The only thing I should probably say is that, sometimes, you have to use the "telephone activation" route - and sometimes you don't (didn't with the Office installation!)!

FWIW, there are quite a few websites where you can buy (reasonably!) legit WIn and Office licences - whilst I bought the Win 11 licence from that US site (due to "misadvertising" I thought I was getting 3x licences for that price - but I didn't! :shock , I generally buy such licences from a UK site called Lizosoft. The Office 2021 Pro Plus (i.e. the "full fat" version) licence on this laptop came from there at £19.99 a few weeks ago!

There are workarounds to facilitate installing Win 11 on older machines that it wasn't intended for. Admittedly, it might not run at its best depending on what spec your PC has, however, it might be worth your time to look into Tiny 11. This weeks Computer Active has a big feature on it. Worth checking out IMHO.
BUT you STILL need a Win 11 licence to make it work "sort of" properly - I got a licence for $29.99 from the "Tech Republic Academy" website a few days ago but it has to be used within 30 days of purchase, so I've got about another 20 or so to pluck up the courage to try it on my "experimental" m/c, which is too old (2016'ish!) to qualify for a "proper" upgrade as it has a 5th or 6th gen icore-5 processor and not a version 2 TPM.

Also downloaded "Tiny 11" - it's about 2.5GB, and may take "some time" as the download site is not "main stream".

OTOH, as far as Win 11 itself is concerned, I'm writing this on a 13" Dell Latitude 7390 laptop which came with Win 10 but upgraded fairly smoothly to Win 11 - not a "bad" OS , but you need to get used to some different ways of doing stuff, esp in File Explorer - and I'm certainly "still learning".

I am unable to find the firmware download for the k30.
It's not on the Pentax User website (AFAIK)!

Search for the US site "Pentaxforums" then, on there, for the subsection called "Digital Cameras" and then look the sub-subsection "K-30 & K-50" - and, with a bit more searching you will find the thread containing a post with the f/w file attached, and then how to install it.,

From why I've read elsewhere, 3x B2 came to Europe in August to participate in NATO exercises - probably still here, and may be operating from Fairford?
..and I've not seen one since first exciting sighting the camera has been sat on the table with the 150-450 mounted ever since (instead of the 21mm)
Having done a big more digging on the militaryaviation news sites, it seems that those 3x B2's were deployed to Iceland in early Augiust for NATO exercises, finally went to Norway in late August, and then probably went home to the US as I can't find anything about them in September - so maybe one of them did a fly-by over Fairford on the way home (whenever that was?).

Think it's time to put that 150-450 back in the case until you need it for something else!

Are you sure they've been eaten? Any chance they might have died and sunk to the bottom? If definitely eaten, you need a camera trap to get photographic evidence of the offender. A basic one that's OK for garden use isn't expensive. You might be surprised at what goes on in your garden (and that's after you and Mrs HG have gone inside :wink.......

Egrets are becoming established in the UK. There was one at WWT Washington a couple of years ago
Thx all for confirming a bird that I saw a couple of years here in West London on a "pond" on a building site - I thought it was an egret but could not be sure at the time.

JAWS Minimus!
On a slightly more "realistic" note, a river/lake bird with a relatively long beak - like a heron (or egret - not sure if we get those in the UK though) - might be able to perch on/near the netting and spear the fish as they pass under the hole.
