I’ve experienced exactly the same problem but with a link to activate (via an advert) something totally unrelated to Pentax.

I much prefer a printed copy. You can read it anywhere at anytime, without having to turn the computer on. Even if I printed the PDF (which isn't saving paper and is the reason for this survey) I couldn't obtain the high quality (and admire the wonderful photographs) that I get from the copy that drops through the letterbox. It's a bit like downloading music; I still prefer to buy the CD (or DVD) as you can play it around the house, in the car, on a computer (and even [legally] copy it to iTunes for use on an iPod). Downloaded music has some restrictions and limitations and if a hard drive fails (assuming you don't do back-ups) it could mean your entire music collection is lost. Imagine losing all your PDF copies of the Pentax User magazine!
