The 50-135 is tempting too. If it started at 35 I would feel happier as I fear I will swap lenses too often and drop one.
35-50 can be solved by walking back and forth

BUY THE 50-135

Michal, for the battery, again you can find cheaper equivalents on the websites I mentioned before - the official pentax one is around £40 I believe, the same ones (different brand) can be found for around £10.

For a bag, I use the lowepro slingshot 200AW, its excellent, but it depends what kinda bag you want. The slingshot is quite expensive, not that comfy, however, very practical.

Also £70 on calumet's ebay acct (I ordered a metz AF58 from them the other week, for £150, saving of £80. Great service too)

Well then the £30 50-200 sounds like a good option - 300mm equiv, and with the massive 14mp you can crop a bit too

Heftys suggestion is probably the best so far.
Don't buy SD cards in store (jessops, currys, etc), there are very cheap places on the internet - picstop and 7dayshop stock them cheaply if I remember correctly, I have used picstop twice for memory cards, and I know others would suggest 7dayshop.

The 50-200mm lens may seem very attractive at £30 (and indeed it is, its probably worth it for that price) but one thing you may ask yourself - do you need a long lens? (I've never owned one)

From what you've said, I would get the K20D + Grip + 16-45 bundle, and then a 90/100/105mm macro lens.

This would work out at £775 for the bundle, with £125 cashback - £650. The macro lens would be around £300 new, but you could easily find a second hand one, or even an older manual one (if you are used to manually focussing). This would allow you to shoot those macros, and also as you mentioned, school plays (those macro lenses are F/2.8 and deadly sharp when stopped down). They are nice for portraits too, if slightly long.

Then again, my advice may be rubbish, seeing as I don't own a lens longer than 55mm, and rarely use one over 50mm Ive just never lusted after a long lens. Well, only the 50-135..

Make sure you buy before the cashback promotion runs out!

Just to throw it out there, have you considered the new 150-500 HSM?

Its inbetween the price of the 120-400 and 100-300, and to me seems like it has a better range for wildlife, without the need for TC.

Slide film developed as negative is cross processing, processing slide in C-41, correct?

Seems like the MZ-5 is the choice, or at least MZ series. Will my FA50 work nicely on these?

And hefty, the idea of the holga in my eyes was that it was cheap and nasty - producing experimental effects. Ill check out the zeiss ikon cameras though, thank you.

Do high street stores that process film (boots etc) process 35mm slide film? And would I need to invest in a proper film scanner for good quality scans? Im not too fussed about prints because id rather scan in (negs or slides) and get them printed cheap from a website after fixing them up any way I wanted.

[edit]

After reading mannestys reply, the MZ-6 sounds even better - p-ttl would work with my new metz.

However it just dawned on me, if I went back to basics, it would probably improve my photography - i'd think about exposure more and more - same with focussing.

Plus the K/M/A series cameras look nicer..

I think its a battle between a Super-A and a MZ-6, or possibly the older ME Super.
