Fantastic shots. I really love the first shot the most. The bridge at the bottom of the picture really shows the size, magnificance and magisty of the waterfall. It also frames the shot extremely well. The bridge along with the brick wall on the side of the shot really make me think if 2 words...ageless beauty.

From a personal perspective, I think it would have been awesome to have a person standing on the bridge with their back to the camera looking up at the waterfall. Also, it would have been nice to have the tree branch at the top out of the way but of course there is only so much we can do against mother nature right.

I absolutely love the shots Terry. Terrific job.

I just got my k20d yesterday as well. I had the k100d for a year and decided to switch. I'm sure you are going to love going from film to digital.

I wouldn't throw out your film though. There are some great creative options with film but digital definately has it's advantages.

Just wanted to say that I got my pentax k20d today and can't wait to start shooting. Of course living in Michigan (USA) there really isn't that much to photograph but we are suppose to get a few huge snow/ice storms over the next few days. Maybe some awesome ice pictures might be coming. Who knows.

Hello everyone,

I'm planning on picking up a k20d over the next few weeks but I'm wondering how well the k20d works in low light. I'm a Wedding DJ who is thinking about going into Wedding Photography. I'm also a swing dancer and take a ton pictures of people dancing in low light. I currently have a k100d but I'm finding it difficult to get dancing shots in Low Light conditions (even with a flashgun and a diffuser). I'm getting a ton of noise and pixlated pictures. I've tried playing with the ISO (200, 400, 800 and 16000) and the only ISO setting that seems to work is 1600 with a flash gun but of course the pics are grainy.

If anyone has a k20d have taken pics in low light could you reply with some pictures you have taken in low light. I still have time to change my mind (if I decide to get a Nikon d300 or a higher model Canon) and need to make sure I'm making the right investment.

I'm new as well to the forum. I have to ask, how do you like the k20d? I have a k100d but just ordered the 20d online. I'm really excited to start using it.

Thank you so much for the wonderful responses. That is definately something I've noticed about Pentax users vs those who use other brands. Pentax users are extremely friendly, helpful and are willing to offer positive complements along with constructive critism. They don't just rip your stuff apart.
