Well the big bird watch was a flop for us, we had nothing at all!

Could be the full feedersi gardens on either side of ours that were to blame but...

.. it was a good excuse to go and have a beer..

Honesty gave me a 3D printer that they had, it didn't work..

..but 2 hours tinkering and I now am happily printing out OO( gauge locos and stuff..

Happy New Year folks.

No celebrations for the HG house last night, we're having people around this evening instead..

Starting the year as we mean to go on.

Not long now, the annual invasion of the house will be a little quieter this year.

Honesty and Co. ard staying in Lancaster, her other half's family took too long to take decisions so they've sorted hmselves out with freinds.

On the plus side there will be more trfle and beer for me...

Nice video from Sigma, shame Youtube insist on showing inappropriate adverts...

It's enough to drive one to drink, but 10 in the morning might just be a little early for that.

Interesting views guys, My HP t630 winbox is happily rollimg along.

I'm getting my brain around the win11 changes, some of which seem to have been done just to confuse people, and am typing this on said system.

The external HD array is going to take some sorting, lack of room and too many caddies...

Returned home last night after a couple of days in Lancasster helping honesty decorate.
stayed in a hotel with good food and beer, the paint on the walls at Honesty's is fine and she's happy a different win this time.

Struggling to keep my Win7 machine going, Microsoft won't supply updates or service packs for this 'dead' system, it looks like I need to move to win 10 or 11, sod!

My system will run 10, but not 11 then I came across something called a 'Thin Client'...

Turns out that a cheap, as in subŁ50 HP T630 will run win 11 all beit without a massive hard drive, but it's turning out fun trying to figure where to put a couple of external drives that I can attach to my 'new' computer, and also trying top get my head around the new OS.

On a more relevent note, spent a couple of hours with some good friends in the tap room at a local brewery, a good evening was had and much beer drunk.

Mash!!

Been on a die since Feb, lost 2 1/2 stones and feel so much better for it.

ALL root veg cut out and beer consumption reduced, red wine's OK apparently, now I feel 10 years younger.

Down side is havng to buy new jeans, it's not good when you can step out of the old ones without undoing them..

Soory did I say die, that's supposed to be diet!

Covid, ha!

Had a dose last november, thought it was just a cold until I got out on the push bike.

Lead legs and no stamina made me take a test..

.. positive!

Good job we were staying in the middle of nowhere in Aberdeenshire, by the time we move on it had cleared up, but not until it had ruined a lovely dry, sunny week.

Self medication with whisky and beer helped.

Chainsaws sharpened, fueled up and ready to go, then the weather does this!!

We're supposed to be trimming (cutting down?) several Leylandii trees at my son's house.

He lives in the direct blast from the Pennines above Halifax so there's no way I'm playing with power saws up ladders in a 60MPH wind with rain.

It'll have to wait a little longer.
