I use my netbook too - but mainly as a storage device. I haven't bothered to load the RAW Codec onto it so I use Irfanview to look at the photos. I only throw out the truly duff ones, and don't do any work on them.
Mine came with Win7, and is just brilliant. I am using it right now.

On a more sober note can I just express my shock at the events in Norway and extend my sympathy to every one there.
I have win7 on mine now, the guy at PCWorld said it wouldn't install..

...my mate at Staples said go for it!

I did. it did, so much for 'expert staff'

The Norwegian shootings news is just getting worse, they're such a friendly nation how can this happen?

I now have an Android tablet PC, which I'm slowly making sense of. I think it should be able to connect to my camera and work as a photo viewer
I use a netbook for that on holiday.

It started out with 1gig of ram and a 120 gig hard drive, that's all they could sell if they wanted to use WinXP on them.

It now has 2gig ram and a 500 gig drive, a lot better for storing all those holiday shots.

We keep getting the TV people demanding we get a license at our office.

There's no aerial and it's not had a licence for at least 15 years.

But still they try!

Well, the Bank of Dad has done a money transfer to the Bank of Son.

He's happy, I'm happy, all is well in the banking world..

...our little bit any way.

If you have a new photo licence in the UK you have to renew it every 10 years, but, if you have the old paper ones then they're ok until you reach 70something.

I don't have a photo one and have no intention of getting one until I need to.

On the up, I attended a union/management meting this morning and severely upset a manager.

It was when my card was declined!!

I now owe my son some money..

..for a change!

I can recomend Little Tokyo if only for the selection of Japanese beers. The food's very good as well.

My head this morning is a little fuzzy though.
