Cutting trees down is fun, it's chopping the logs up and storing them for next winter that's the hard part.

Spent a good evening in Saltaire (a world heritage site) with 'spider and his camera club. Highlight of the evening was trying to get good photo's of the snails(!?).

The light was poor and the snails moved too fast for long exposures, despite the tripods and remote releases etc.

This was taken, hand held with my old K110d and new 35mm macro.

Cropped in Photoscape,but that's all.

They look nicer than the Belgium ones I ate a few years back.

Knowing HG he's probably looking forward to it
We both had a hangover after her 18th, but neither woui=ld admit it.

I'm too stubborn and she's too much like me!

I'm currently trawling through 1000+ images from the Jubilee weekend in london.

The best will go on display somewhere, the rest will be cut to DVD, stored on several hard drives and, most probably not be visited again.

As for the OP, I'm a hoarder, so I keep nearly all my shots..

..as for 'spider's comment, I like film for the very fact that it makes me think more before shooting. Thus I get fewer duff shoots and can keep them all

OK confession time.

I have never been drunk - not really drunk. Very occasionally very slightly tipsy, but nothing more than that. I don't even like feeling tipsy.

If I start to feel the effects of booze I stop drinking.

But I must admit to enjoying some of the best beers at the time of my youth, and they were brewed in God's own County.

Long live Masham, and the twin breweries. The ancient and venerable Theakstones and it's younger sibling Black Sheep.

All hail the wonder food, beer, Long live booze!!!

That sounds like a good plan for the next meet. We all take our cameras into Newcastle on a Friday night and keep up with the locals.

The winner is the one has a decent photograph by the end of the night. Failing that, having any equipment or money left will be the tiebreaker!
What a good idea, will I need to bring my own paracetamol or are they provided on the NHS in Newcastle?

I also like the T-shirt idea...

It's a small amount, heck I spend more on stamps each year and I don't do much posting (Royal Mail type that is).

To be a paid member and access the extra just seemed a good idea at the time. I'd been a free member for quite a while by then.

If a £10 fee keeps the commercial content down it's got to be worth it.

And I'm a tight Yorkshire man who wants value for money.
