lithium iron phosphate is an interesting cathodic material.
It lets to have a very flat charge/discharge curve, so the voltage is not related to the amount of charge in the cell.
furthermore, increasing the dischage current means only reduce only the capacity, and not the voltage.

But, moreover, LiFePO4 is much safer than cobalt oxides now in the batteries.

I bought a k7 used and the previous owner had a O-ME53. Well, I agree: it is helpful for the eyes and for the nose (or, better, for the nose on lcd... )

Are you talking about the 17-50 f2.8 EX OS HSM (the new model)?

I have it on a K7.

The size/weight is similar to DA 16-50, sharpness and focusing are much much better than the 18-55 wr I had before, but I don't know if it is better or equal to DA 16-50. It seems to be an high level lens.

I have also a 3 years warranty on this lens. The price was 600 euro in a german store.
