Many thanks OP. Got one! Already had the DA40 SMC but I think I potentially made the barrel come slighlty askew by dropping an iPod from about 10 centimeters on it the other day! Not sure if it was askew before but I thought I may have to have it checked by a repair shop. Now, with a new HD silver one I can do that checkup later!

Cheers,
Fred

Just bought one of these a couple of weeks ago off a forum member and I must say I'm very fond of the lens. Lovely manual focus feel to it and while it is a bit of a challenge to nail focus wide open (that's how I shoot with it mostly) I do find it sharp enough when I succeed, with lovely, creative bokeh. Buy it if you can!!!

Just my two pence.

Cheers
Fred

Thanks for the advice, Peter. Right now I don't think it will be particularly difficult to follow... Very pleased to own all FA Ltds. I somehow feel complete as a human being now.

Thanks Fred, good to see you!

Fred,

Don't repeat Danny's grotesque error....you should follow the rules of FA Ltd ownership, there are 2:

1) if you buy one, never, ever sell it. You will regret it
2) see rule 1)

James, I'm sure there'll be plenty more for sale sooner or later. It's definitely worth saving up for!
