The lens is 20 years old so has obvious signs of use. on the outer lens thread there is a very small ding (see image) but this does not affect the image quality at all. I had two of these and this was the sharper of the two. These lenses are very hard to find and is one of the best lenses I have owned and used over the years.

I think Saxon does raise a good point. For my photography journey, aperture has been via the camera body, but I would really like to have the choice of this method and have an aperture ring on the lens.

I am also learning to appreciate distance scales on old lenses, I think a lot of the old skills and techniques used are still very valid today, but with a lot of modern lenses these processes are being lost.


I guess perhaps these features may increase the prices? But being able to have choices is what's important to me.
