For me, this is like when I heard those news anchors that claimed Mr Rogers(From the old children's tv show) was "evil" because he told children that "You are all special" (That's apparently socialist thinking. Therefore, bad). I just don't understand how anyone could have that point of view! It's Bizarro world! Everything's inverted.
Does holding a hot pan feel good to you too? I kid, I kid.

Ricoh will [try] to bring the Pentax brand on par with Nikon Corp. and Canon Inc. in interchangeable-lens cameras, Ricoh President Shiro Kondo said.

And the trick you're describing hefty, has never worked for me. This is what happens:
1. With the flash and camera separate, I turn both on.
2. I set both to manual.
3. I mount the flash on the camera.
4. But the moment I touch the shutter release, the flash goes into PTTL.
How am I screwing this up, I wonder?

When I mount my AF360 onto my k5, it does two odd things ; It will not let me set my shutter faster than 1/90th, no matter what I try, AND it will not let me leave PTTL mode. The camera is in manual, so why would I want the flash in Pttl? And where did my 1/180th sync speed go?
What is going on with this thing? Any ideas?

I like to use only my thumb AF button for focus, and so I normally disable the regular shutter from activating focus. And apparently for catch-in to work, I must be using the shutter button for focus.
Well I wish it weren't that way, but ok. At least I've got it figured out.
Thanks for the help!

Anyway, if I mount a manual lens and try it, the green hexagon never lights up.
Oi! What's going on here.

And I'm not starting in focus at all. I can be 10 feet out of focus on a subject 3 feet away from me and it fires anyway.
Please don't tell me something's broken!
EDIT: Do Pentax cameras have a toggle for Frames-per-second-priority versus focus-priority? I know some cameras do, but I can't find that in the options here.

So I've done it before, but I can't do it now.

•The K7 with both the Asahi 50mm f1.4 and the Rokinon 85mm f1.4.
•I'm trying both with and without tinfoil over the contacts
•I have the camera set center point, single focus, and catch-in activated in the camera's C menu.
But I press the shutter and the photo takes, whether I'm in focus or not.
What setting am I missing? I would love to make these two old lenses useful to me on the job. As it is now, I can never use them for anything practical (I shoot mostly moving people).
