I am moving over to the FA limiteds because I still use film and I want to keep my number of lenses manageable.

All three lenses are in excellent condition with no scratching, fungus or damage to any lens element. All three have Pentax caps and leather pouches, except as noted.

Payment by Paypal, or cash if you want to exchange in London. Delivery of your choosing, or can deliver by hand in London.

21mm: A couple of cosmetic nicks on the focussing grip. NO BAG. £300 plus delivery.
40mm: Very slight cosmetic wear. £220 plus delivery.
70mm: Very slight cosmetic wear. £310 plus delivery.

Do you include the FA 50/1.4 in your list? That I can accommodate.

Also the DFA 100mm WR.

Does anyone have a similar list for Pentax-fit Sigmas and Tamrons?

It wasn't Cokin! I used http://www.formatt.co.uk/default.aspx for the filters (it's the Hitech system). The 49mm bayonet adapter screws into the lens and the filter holder clips onto the adapter.

The Hitech system has the slot for the polariser at the front, which has turned out to be a problem at wide angles (less than 20mm) for me - even though I am using the wider 100mm filter size.

Anyway, it's a fair bit of kit to lug around (adapters, holders, filters, CPL) and in retrospect all I really need is a 0.9 ND grad (handheld) or a CPL (which I have 49mm screw on filter from Marumi).

The ND Grad filters I have are 100mm wide (they are just a flat piece of plastic) so they are easy to hold in front of the lens, but it takes up a hand, so only really practical with a tripod. However, if I need a filter, it's probably a landscape that needs a tripod anyway.

Don't have any screw-in ND Grads yet, but I assume you are right!

I'm having difficulty trying to envisage how this works How does the adaptor work (and where did you get it from)? And hand holding the filter - I assume you just press it against the adapter system??? Has it worked OK for you? It seems a faff...

And I assume if you use the screw in ND grads the position of the grad is fixed??

If I need a CPL I use s 49mm screw-on filter.

I may still buy a screw-on grad ND for hands free use.

I'd appreciate any advice folk have on ND filters for the DA Ltds.

I can feel the landscape bug biting hard now, and at some stage I'll want to set myself up with ND filters and (hopefully) ND grads for the DA 21 (and DA 15, bank balance willing)... but the design of the DA Ltds (size, hoods etc) seems to make adding square filter systems difficult (see the unresolved thread at link).

What do other DA Ltd users do for NDs and particularly ND grads?

Are the B&W circular grads (link) any good?

Any other advice on brands/filters to go for?? I've little previous experience (ie. none!)of using ND filters.

Thanks

I was thinking of using the same setup on my 31mm. Does the step-down ring cause any vignetting [on an APS-C camera]?

i feel quite similar to the op. i use a 3 prime kit.

the two ones that always come are the 15mm and 31mm.

i often grab either the 70mm or a 135mm pentax-m to keep it company. thanks to a recent suggestion on the forum, i use the 31mm with a 58mm-49mm step down ring to keep myself at 49mm throughout. i pair this set up with a 49mm polariser, a 10 stop nd filter, and a tripod, and that's a nice bit of compact travel kit.
