This one has both 3/8th and 7/8th mounts, thanks to Alan for the link.

Thanks. Will they ship to the UK or is it available in the UK?

I've found this red dot finder which looks spookily like the Pentax, note this is for the 20mm (7/8th of an Inch) scope mount.

How are you finding the 3rd party K mount adapter? I found that without a shutter it was almost impossible to take any shots that were not blurred or were at best 'soft' due to either camera or subject movement, even on a tripod.

Thanks Alan. The acid test is when it is a bird that is sufficiently out of range to be cropped in by the K30. Let's just say I think the age of the digiscope is dead!

Well the one above is with the third party adapter. I wouldn't want to take a shot in a rush but once set up focus and exposure seems pretty straightforward. I did use a tripod and remote though as it is very sensitive to vibration.

Latest attempt. Had to de-crop it and add some background as it was too tight to the frame. So this is uncropped with DA*300 and Q.

I had to add a bit of background to this uncropped shot as it was too tight to the frame. i suppose you could say it is a negative crop! Same set up - DA*300 on Q.

Yes, I actually agree with both. The number of times we get asked questions on kit with no reference to purpose and budget. The question surely has to always be .... I want a lens for blah, blah, and my maximum budget is £x.

Unfortunately I had my Sigma 150-500 on when this shower came along and nothing wide at all which was a shame as just before there was the brightest 180 degree double rainbow I have seen in years.I did have my Q though and managed to get this with the ship between the rainbow and the rusty anchor. I noticed the bike later but thought it was ok in a way. I'm trying to branch out from Wildlife as I am rubbish at landscapes!
On the Thames Estuary by the way.
