Just in case someone here might be interested.I'm putting a Samsung Gx10 with 18-55 Lens on ebay.
My Ebay name is bid4fame.
It is Boxed, and very clean, well looked after and has seen little use.
Comes with an extra battery and I have fitted clear anti-scuff protectors to the top and rear lcd screens.
It's for UK bidders only.Starting bid is £0.99 .
I like to run auction items until the full time whistle blows,so I don't take offers.
Again if anybody from this forum bids and wins and lets me know they are from here, they will receive a freebie as well.

I just won the 70mm so I'd like my freebie please... (bubble wrap doesn't count as a freebie !)

Now off to Paypal
Congratulations RR,

Good to see one of the guys here winning.
Guess I can't send bubblewrap now.

Don't worry I will have your freebie packed along with it too.
Please let the guys and me know what you think when it arrives.

Any probs just give me a shout.

Davy

Hi Haydn,

All the Camera equipment is being listed on Ebay.
The rest of the listing will be going on at the end of this week probably,as I'm busy with work.
It can be a bit of a struggle to parcel and send off a lot of things all at once.
I like to make sure things are well packaged up.
All the camera gear is going on 'Auction style' and will run full time.

This keeps things fair.

If you or any forum user here wins an item you will also receive a freebie.Just remember to let me know you are a member here.

Cheers,
Davy

Like myself some on here dont use fleebay, would you list your items here with prices, you never know someone might need what you have.
Hi ttk,

Thought I had responded to this, but probably wasn't logged in.

I have had some good and some bad experiences on Ebay.
There are some really good dedicated camera retailers in the UK and some not so great, especially with the larger chains.
I have made quite some savings and encountered some great Ebay sellers
that I would have no hesitation in using. If I can get great service and save money, thats a no brainer for me.
If you choose to stick with high street retailers and don't mint the inflated prices, thats ok.

I am not up to date with camera prices and have listed stuff on Ebay,as things in auction format, tend to find their worth (not always, hence bargains).
I want to get the best price that I can and I think that that is fair.

If any forum member bids and wins on camera item,I will include a freebie with the sale.
Also I would like them to post here to let you and others here know their
comments/review of any item.
Items that will be coming up are..
Pentax FA50 F1.4. Pentax FA35 F2AL.Sigma(Pentax fit)70mmF2.8ex dg Macro.

Samsung SEF-36PZF (Pentax AF360)Flash.Samsung(pentax)50-200 F4-5.6 Zoom.

Samsung GX10 (Pentax equiv)Camera.

There may well be some other camera gear as well,as I am still sorting things out.

Regards,
Davy

Hi All,
Reluctanly selling off my Pentax/Samsung gear.
For UK bidders only, will be putting up on Ebay tonight, and again
next week.
Am often wary of buying off Ebay, with so many dodgy characters, but I am not one of them.
All my camera equipment has been bought from new and was purchased from reputable retailers.
Have some very nice prime lenses, zoom, and macro,GX10 camera, flash.
This equipment is mint as was used as a backup to a full frame setup.

My Ebay user name is bid4fame

If you are a winning bidder and a member of the forum, please let me know and I will send you a freebie along with your item.
Cheers,
Davy

Hi,

I take it that's the Extreme III. Pretty fast card and a decent price.
You do have to shop around for prices as Amazon have had to change suppliers and cards have sometimes went up in price.
I pity the guy who goes to buy the Sandisk Extreme IV compact flash 4gb card on Amazon .It's currently over £9000!!
Avoid a certain bidding site as there are counterfeit cards and Sandisk
are often copied.
There is also a market for refurbished Memory cards and this dosen't
give me a lot of confidence in the rescue software to help if things go belly up with a card. What use is a warranty if the disk and images are kaput.
Don't think I would go above 4 gig with a card,as a saftey measure in case things do go wrong. Also the price does go up with larger cards.

Hi,

Thanks for the speedy replies.
I do some shooting indoors and that is the reason I wanted something
a bit faster. In fact I have a family wedding to do in a couple of months and I'm not sure if I can take flash photos at the ceremony.
I also have a Pentax 35/F2 and 50/1.4 and Sigma 70/2.8 makro (all very good),but a bit of a pain to swap in and out in the heat of battle.

Hi All,

First post here,so go easy.
Have the Samsung GX10 with the 18-55 and 50-200 kit lenses.
I wanted a faster/better lens than the 18-55 kit lens.
I find this lens a bit soft.
Reviews of the Pentax 16-50 DA* have been mixed, but I have seen a positive review of the Tamron 17-50/2.8 which is now out in Pentax mount.
Any owners of the new Tamron out there?
I think there is also a similar sized Sigma lens.
So am looking recommendations for a fast, walkabout lens.

Davy.
