If you do use a wide open aperture to knock out the background, you will need to go old-school, manual focus; pre-focus on a point and press the shutter when they pass through that point. Otherwise the depth of field may be too short for the camera to focus in time as they are coming towards you.
Burst mode might help with the above, but I wouldn't know as I never remember it

I'm selling my LX. No issues. Shutter was serviced a while back.

Ah! there it is!
I just couldn't find it
Thanks Gary, I've gone for the cheap option for now, I'll see how I get on.

You can push them right back for wide angle and I might try cutting it to the same shape as my card petal hood. Cheap enough to experiment

Ah, thanks Froggy. I'll grab a rubber hood as well. I love those things, really handy; good protection
BTW, I discovered it's seamlessphoto.com

Anybody have, or know where I can get a hood for the 645 35mm f3.5 please?
I've done my usual trick of knocking one up out of card, but it's time for the real deal.

Just to re-iterate. This is essentially brand-new.

But it's not 300x300 - that is an absolute figure and would result in an image 1 inch square
Set the rsolution (per inch) to 300 and the dimensions to whatever your paper size.
Once you have filled in the three parameters, check that they are all correct before pressing OK, because sometimes they are relative to each other and you may have to turn that off.
