Greetings all, please bear with me as this is my first post, I did do a search first but no one else appears to have had this problem.
I bought my Optio A20 a few months ago and in the last batch of photos I took recently some of them look like they have been taken using about 16 colours as they look horrible and contain lots of purple, as it was very sunny when these were taken I couldn't tell by looking at the screen at the time.
Now the camera is permanently in this mode, when it's switched on everything looks like it's in 16 colours with lots of purple even in movie mode, also in the menu the 'White Balance' and 'AE Metering' options are greyed out and cannot be changed, and there is no reference to this in the manual, and I've done the obvious like a factory reset to no avail.
Any light that anyone can shed on this would be much appreciated.
Regards
Colin

Thanks for the reply, yes the card was formatted in the camera but following your suggestion I removed it and when I switched the camera on the display still contains the weird purple colours.
It's still under warranty as it's only a few months old so I guess I'll just have to send it back.
